YOUR CHANNEL, YOUR CONTROL

App privacy.

This policy covers the free and Premium YTAI Studio Mac apps, including their Google and YouTube connections.

Last updated: 8 October 2026.

Who is responsible

Ilyas Bakouch, based in Canada, operates YTAI Studio. Contactilyas@ytaistudio.app about your data or this policy. Our website privacy notice covers visits, optional website analytics, and purchase redemption on ytaistudio.app.

Your projects and optional online services

Scripts, imported recordings, transcripts, editing plans, generated media, exports and your project library are stored on your Mac in the library location you choose. We do not operate a cloud project library. Files in a folder you synchronize or back up through another service are also subject to that service's settings and policies.

When you choose a cloud AI feature, the material needed for that request is sent to the provider you configure, such as OpenAI, Google Gemini or Z.ai. Depending on the feature, this can include prompts, scripts, transcripts, recordings or images. Local processing options do not need those cloud requests. The provider's terms, retention rules and account settings apply to requests you send to it.

Connecting Google and YouTube

Connecting YouTube is optional. Google handles sign-in in your browser; we do not receive your Google password. The Channel connection requests read-only access to your YouTube account and YouTube Analytics reports (youtube.readonly and yt-analytics.readonly). This connection does not authorize uploads or changes to your videos. You can also import YouTube Studio CSV reports without connecting Google.

The app accesses your channel name and ID; video IDs, titles, durations, publication dates and visibility; and available channel or video reports. Reports can include views, watch time, audience retention, subscriber changes, impressions, thumbnail click-through rate, traffic sources and search terms. Some metrics are unavailable for particular videos or reports. The video catalog can include private and unlisted video metadata; those videos are excluded from topic evidence.

We use this information to show your channel and video performance, connect videos to your productions, and support the strategy, editorial review and recommendations you choose to use. Google account access and refresh tokens for Channel are stored in macOS Keychain for your local library. Reports and video metadata are stored locally with that library. We do not receive a copy of your connected channel's tokens or reports on a YTAI Studio server.

Channel evidence and AI assistance

Remote analysis of channel evidence is off by default and requires your opt-in in Channel Strategy. If you enable it, selected eligible video evidence and strategy context can be sent to your configured writing provider to produce the requested recommendations or drafts. Sharing summarized business outcomes requires a separate opt-in. Free-text business notes and opportunity identifiers are excluded from that outcome summary.

YTAI Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data to provide the features described here, not to sell data, target advertising, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models. Only enable channel evidence with a provider and account configuration that permit this use without using that data to train generalized models.

Uploading to YouTube

Uploading uses a separate Google authorization through the local youtubeuploader tool. Signing in to Channel does not grant upload access. The current uploader requests permissions to upload videos, manage your YouTube account and manage YouTube assets (youtube.upload, youtube and youtubepartner). The app uses the uploader for the video, metadata and selected thumbnail you approve; it does not provide a partner-asset management feature. Review Google's permission screen before allowing this separate connection.

An upload sends your approved video and its approved title, description, tags and selected thumbnail to YouTube. Premium enforces private uploads. Upload authorization stays with you, including on autonomous projects. The uploader stores its own authorization tokens in your local user configuration directory, separately from Channel's Keychain entries. Content you upload is handled by YouTube under itsTerms of Service andGoogle's Privacy Policy.

Retention, disconnection and deletion

Channel source evidence expires after 30 days without refresh and is cleaned up on the next analytics operation. The app does not run a channel analytics service while closed. Disconnecting and deleting local analytics removes Channel tokens and source evidence, makes dependent topic evidence unavailable and removes dependent brief artifacts. Your creator-authored strategy, productions, business records and review lessons are retained.

Local disconnection does not revoke Google's grant. You can revoke access in your Google Account connections. Upload authorization has a separate local token cache; revoking the app in Google also prevents that grant from being used. Deleting a local project removes its stored copies and artifacts, but does not delete original recordings outside the library or videos already uploaded to YouTube. Manage those videos in YouTube Studio and any backup copies through your backup service.

Purchases, licenses, updates and support

Premium uses Lemon Squeezy for orders and license activation. The app sends your license key and activation instance information to validate your license and update eligibility; update downloads are also checked by our update service. These requests are separate from channel data. Lemon Squeezy handles checkout information under itsprivacy policy.

If you contact support, we use the message and information you choose to share to resolve your request. Do not send passwords or access tokens. We keep correspondence while needed for the request and related legal obligations. Service providers may process requests outside your country; their policies and the settings of the accounts you choose apply. Contact ilyas@ytaistudio.app for access, correction or deletion requests concerning information we hold.
